It was something for the emission controls which were a pain but that’s another story, just put a blanking cap on it it won’t cause any issues.
It’s really difficult to diagnose a fault like this without being there in person, it’s not mechanical so my hunch is it’s going to earth somewhere, it will be a process of elimination remove the headlight easy to do & very carefully check all the wiring coming into the headlight shell & where the wiring loom passes the head stock look for any damage no matter how small & unplug all the connectors 1 at a time spray with contact cleaner & reconnect try that 1st.
Excellent bit of work
If it’s a small bore pipe that connects under the fuel tank then it’s the drain from the cap & it just goes down to the ground
It might seem a stupid question but is the battery fully charged

It’s going to be jets in the carb blocked up with something

There should be a main fuse like 30amp somewhere that’s the one that would knock out everything
Check the fuse would be first thing, the connection for the above is behind the headlight would be next.
Not really worth it. You would need the wiring loom, all the sensors, clocks, injectors, fuel pump & then the thing that’s rarer than & a damn sight harder to find then an honest politician & that is whatever ECU fits all the above.
Could be the carbs out of balance also ideally the needle should be in the middle notch moving it does not make it richer it merely changes when the primary & secondary come into play.
Hi there
Dec 8, 2023 at 1:29 PM in reply to: Does Hyosung have more engine/carburettor/electrical problems than others? #11888I would add that they are surprisingly well made, the main problem you get when buying a used one can normally be traced back to poor maintenance or bad work carried out by someone who thinks they know what they are doing. I had so many bikes & believe me some of the previous work I have uncovered even by dealers makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking

Years ago you could use carb cleaner or an airline to clear the carbs out but now with the complex carbs manufacturers use the only way to make sure they are clean is ultrasonics everything else is a waste of time.

Now the culprit for this is not the stator it’s the simply terrible rectifier which then takes the stator with it.
Change the rectifier for a shindengin one problem solved the other is just general corrosion in connections which is easy to deal with.
Hi there, enjoy the rides in the sun.
Check the battery voltage & charging system first, if the charging has gone down & the voltage drops as it will all sorts of things start happening so check that first.
