Has only 1.200 miles and when I start it,it only runs a few seconds then shuts off? And there’s a FI indicator light on?? Also I really need an air box/fuel line/emissions canister line diagram badly

Need to know first what have you done to it, when you turn the ignition on does it cycle & the fi light go out before you try to start it?

I’m pretty sure the red indicator light stays on but the messages where the speedo is comes off and on

Did you disconnect anything, did the bike run ok before it might seem like like a lot of questions but need to narrow things down

Simon, thank you for responding to my post as I’m still kinda stumped here. And there really isn’t much online regarding this particular problem So I’ll just tell you what I know and what I’ve done.I bought this from a guy who had purchased the bike 1 month prior to selling to me. He gave up on it because he couldn’t get anywhere with the bike to get it to run. He replaced the fuel pump because I guess the original one had seized up from sitting for many years from the first owner not using it since the bike has reached 1,200 miles. It was purchased in 16′ and guessing the miles were put on it within the first year so I’m guessing the bike has sat from 2017 until the now. So just yesterday I took the injectors out and test fired them and the front one wasn’t working but the rear one was. So I cleaned them both and retested them and both were working good. Once back together the bike fired up,ran for about 5 or ten seconds then crapped out once again and when I tried to restart it,it was right back where it was before. :(…..So thought to myself maybe the guy I bought it from never flushed and cleaned the tank and flushed/replaced the fuel lines? So I checked the tank thoroughly and discovered that the entire tank had a rusty film coated inside which led me to believe that, that was the problem. So I cleaned the tank, filled it full with fresh 91 octane, flushed the lines added a fuel filter between the pump and the injectors which by the way there wasn’t one before and flushed the injectors again. But this time the starting was just like it was originally. It cranks, farts, pukes and with a little finesse it would run ( like s*#t) for 5 to 10 seconds. The FI indicator light stays on in red and the one in the speedo display flashes every two seconds and when I put it in “Dealer” mode and check for trouble codes manually it says: noEr and both of the FI indicators stay on??? I’m dumbfounded. The only thing I think it could be is maybe the one vacuum lines are routed wrong? Or the ECU is bad? Or the tip switch is faulty? I tried bypassing the tip switch but nothing seemed to change. I haven’t been able to find a air box hose diagram online, or emissions hose diagram so I’m in search of those still. I just discovered that the speed sensor on the front wheel is broken and I also saw something weird with the wires by the ECU. It’s the little black plug with a brown wire and a blue wire with a white stripeΒ on it on one side, but on the other side it connects to only has one blue with white stripes wire and nothing else? Anyways Simon any and all help is greatly appreciated as I’m dying to ride the bike to Las Vegas, a 300+ mile trek for new years. Thanks again,Bryan

Remove the filter from line between the pump & injectors as that will cause a problem, I think it’s one step at a time, check & clean with contact cleaner as many connections as you can find particularly the ones fitting the sensors as corrosion in any of these will play havoc
