Yes you can check the resistance of the coil & the plug caps with a multimeter, it did think at one time the ics was faulty but it was not the case, also check the pipes from the ics for leaks, can’t remember of the top of my head what the readings of the coils & plug caps should be but Marcel will probably know

The intakes should be between 0.1mm-0.2mm exhaust 0.2mm-0.3mm when cold. To tigh clearance will open the valves to soon & also as it warms up likely to keep the valve slightly open.

shindengen sh775 real one not a knock off expensive but will out last the bike you need to alter the wiring connections but they are simple enough
As with most engines it will be valves not adjusted right or not seating correctly, piston rings broken, stuck, head gasket leaking on worn bores the only way really is to strip down the top end of the engine.
Yes tap one side of the washer onto a flat face of the nut
No it won’t work, the amount of work involved to make it efi is simply not worth the effort. Just go and buy a fuel injected bike it will be cheaper, stick with carbs far better for tuning & one hell of a lot less hassle.
Check the main fuse just a quick arc will blow it
It’s pretty certain that the battery is toast, get a yuasa battery & an optimate charger.
It’s most likely going to be a connection check & clean the connectors from behind the dash & also the connectors on the front coil as that’s where the signal comes from
I’m pretty sure it is this one
The Hitachi is one of the map sensors there is one on each intake they are used on jaguars but can’t remember which one
The map sensors are used in some jaguars but I cannot remember the part number also the sentec system doesn’t have a tps
Ultrasonic cleaning is the best.
It’s got to be low fuel supply to the injectors, it be the filter that is fixed onto the pump or it could be a tired pump
Jun 16, 2024 at 8:32 PM in reply to: Large chunks on oil drain plug and underneath oil strain cap. #13784That’s a nasty find as Marcel says most likely spat some gears, would not surprise me if it’s stripped 2 gear.
If the rust is not to bad I always used small nuts & diesel & just swirl it about after removing the sender/pump etc.
