First of all welcome!
Do not worry, it is not dead. The bike is still alive, since it is only 1900 miles, it is still a baby.
- Did the owner send service reciepts of 600 miles, 1,00 miles because at 600 miles = Warranty allows Korea to replace any faulty parts for free such as strange cooling system issues , or investigate metal shavings
- At 1,000 miles, the service dealer must open the engine valves and adjust them (Valve Clearance is a requirement from Korea at 600-1000 miles to make sure the valves are okay since brand new === metal shavings will also be “new parts talking to each other inside the motor” and old shavings are normal.
After oil change, future metal shavings will normally be clutch plates. - If piston has a problem , yes you will see lot of smoke and low compression and it will eat oil very fast.
- Coolant = Any service history reciepts showing this “Water pump flush, water coolant checked , radiator removed & checked for leak test” ?
The liquid cooled vtwin 125cc is the first for Hyosung because all 125cc were using OIL COOLER, they got very very hot! = So Hyosung switch to water cooling to help 125cc cool down more , as it is a v-twin! it would make more heat naturally than a single piston 125 LC motor.
As long as bike is not dead , it has life, do not worry!
Perfect, I’ll get a PM across to you and we’ll get that sorted. Thank you
No worries, I have responded. Enjoy your evening 👍
Hey Tom, buy these:

Whart you want to do is , use the 2 harness looms to follow their wire colours and match them with your main harness.
Then steal their connectors, to complete your harness to a good standard, If you also pay now, I will do my 100% best to find you some spare connectors for the headlights too, so you can make a bridge , but let’s worry mainly about getting the bike to work. Don’t put the fairings on until it runs. Keep her indoors! Weather is about to be brutal and will try to rust anything exposed to elements.
I pray your brains and your hands will save her the cheaper way before resorting to sending me a loom to take a professional look (extra time added due to schedules possibly! – Life of a bike mechanic is fluid!)
You can always do 1 picture at a time if you get stuck with a particular set of wires , and i will explain what those wires do.
Hmm i totally understand now; Probably the best investment for a 125cc EFI GV125S is the 520 kit to improve gearing across the gears , then when she is ready she can always trade in the 125cc at the dealers for a GV300S , again it would also benefit for a 520 chain set , now the 300cc can actually just about keep up with you as long as you are not racing haha or jump straight to the Gv650 (great sporty cruisers!)
Does the speedo remain accurate when sprockets are changed? I’m looking at ordering the uprated plugs and leads but could be tempted to add the 520 kit.. (delivery would be to France though as we moved to lower Normandy 3 years ago from UK)
Hello , the speed sensor is driven by the front wheel directly as you will see when you at the bottom of the front left fork (some GV125-S models have ABS sensor intergrated in to the forks to calculate brake disc speed vs rear disc for ABS only)
520 vs 428 Sprocket changes affect final gearing (ie. x amount of teeth front and rear = acceleration or extended 1 , 2 , 3 ,4, 5 gears before each shift), we try to balance the middle as much as we can but send us an email to customize it, since i will have a general idea of what you are expecting out of her bike.
Shipping will be fine , we have many EU customers on this site. Cheapest will be our tracked UK Post service going to LaPoste/Collismo to finish the delivery, more details explained in email.
All the best
Strange, I just uploaded a picture (site logo above), it appeared fine , i was using a desktop PC. Can you try again ? And was this on the phone? which one? = Sorry to ask , it helps me diagnose and try to replicate the error on my end and fix it.
Other than that, welcome to the site. I can tell by your excitement for the ST7 , you want the day to happen now. I say go get her and never sell her! I don’t have an ST7 but i have a GV and GT myself , I can wholly agree the GV is very comfy , almost like being on a big scooter sometimes.
Let us know how it goes.
You will be loved for making tutorials on whatever you do to the Hyosung , i’ll share them every chance i get when on social media , to drive traffic back to this site. Sometimes asking for help on social media can be a cesspool, so i’d rather digress on here in a structured way so to speak lol.

Hey welcome! Hope you are enjoying the stay here. Don’t just use the bike as a school transport, when you see the sun, ride all day if you can & get out of the city, go far distances, the GV’s love long distance rides for sure.
You can make a bobber out of any cruiser, it depends on your skill level and the sky is the limit! – Or you can look for old 2003 Gv125 bike and take its fairing, it will be much easier to cut it in to a bobber style fairing. people have done different things to their GV’s , some of them are popular on google images lol.
Post a picture of your bike here, maybe we can see what exhaust it has first and its pipes.
Also look to get LEOVINCE GV250 exhaust, they are not too loud , but they sound good. Only downside is crazy cost lol

Is everything working as intended on your end ? Both browser and mobile device ? (Sometimes you may need to hard refresh the browser to delete old copies of our site)
Hey , welcome.
Bobber 300cc changes vs 125cc
- Different Engine (everything inside is bigger), cannot use any 125cc parts
- Slightly larger water cooler (300cc is hotter)
- Tacho is locked (gauge) = Cannot possible use 125 electronics in 300cc
- Injectors different (more fuel flow)
- Different ECU (125cc ECU is locked for 125cc mapping only and wants 125cc)
- Electronics & Sensors are changed for 300cc (such as lambda, 02, ET, ISCV, etc)
In essense it is a different animal with similar or same looks as Bobber 125 / EVO 125 , it looks like the 300cc uses same chassis as 125cc (maybe stronger steel due to extra torque) , GV300SS has big forks , different brake calipers (bigger)
That is why some parts i sell on this site say “125cc” only as it is not possible to fit them on GV300S
Can i ask ? I am curious. Why does she need to change from 125cc to 300cc ? 125cc is not a bad bike, i have multiple Hyosungs and the baby 125 in my garage is fun and cheap to ride , also it is best for me to use 125cc in winter as cheaper maintenance lol. Big girls only get used on sunny dry days if it is cold , call me a fair weather man 😉
it is going to through a major database upgrade right now , bare with me , as i re-program everything as i did it all by hand before , many apologies
I have a carb that is “empty skeleton (body only)” , you will need to send me an email if you want , otherwise i will put it on ebay.
I think it needs “jets, diaphragm, needles” but i can send pictures ? Sne me pictures of yours too, because you can ask local garage for “ultrasonic clean” ?
Contact me below:
I am looking for carburetors for hyosung Aquila gv 125 from 2003.
What has happened to your old carbs ? Can they be fixed ?
Show us some pictures of the problem too.
If u have a spare starter motor that would be awesome i am in qld but i see ur in canberra
You can PM him , if that helps
I am not going to lie , I like the look! – But i also like the original 2016 look for the bike lol.
So time to do a full reset on the electrics then ? I got the plugs and – I do have a carcass of a harness on ebay for GT125 Naked (new gen) like yours can probably be used to savlage connectors and match things up with yours ? (find us as @evocrest on ebay) – Use this to repair the GTR harness as it requires a 2016 GTR harness (the one you have) , as Gt125 Naked uses different switches and what not , but harness can salvaged to save yours ?
Hmmm, give me till next week to find these 2 pieces for you and advise properly:
- Headlight “mini bridge” harness , as yours has been clipped all over. (You might need to buy connectors from us or the actual bridge but i will see what i dig up)
- “Dashboard Mini” bridge harness , as i will take a picture myself to show our “blue” plug so you can compare.
I think at this rate you might have to consider keeping the bike electric wiring as “standard” as possible to get it running and the extra gadgets like lights may fry it (extra WATTS the stator & bike harness can’t cope with just yet) as the main headlight box on the bike actually takes 55 watts on its own.
Is the bike full fairing or has it turned to a streetfighter as i can see an aftermarket headlight meant for naked bikes too , besides the spot lights hanging on the cage
Personally no, but ask them if they have an ebay or Amazon Channel , like we do anyways. Based in france would mean they would have some kind of French Address in the browser bar eg. .fr instead .uk
Looks like the website has been around for less than 5 years ,

So in a nutshell, i think they are in France but some information is not public,
Sorry i wasn’t much help in my experience using them, perhaps them using PayPal must be something to consider but as with online spaces , just be wise out there 🙂
How much time do you have? Looks like first things first is strip the tape away from all the looms to look for signs of burnt wires inside the tape jackets
Then go on Amazon, get this:
“MANNOL HARNESS TAPE” about 6 rolls.
Let’s start with front to back. We’re strictly going to focus on rebuild this loom here called “Dash Mini Bridge”

Strip it down carefully out of its black jacket (sometimes called back harness tape) , so you can look for breaks, sometimes it is the red wire that breaks inside.
Go back on Amazon and get this:
“9 Pin 2.8mm” connector with pins like this one below:

The dash side is called “FEMALE” end (the blue connector in your pic i’ve mentioned above ^ )
Keep the male version for the main bike harness.
=========== NOTE! ===== If the big connectors are not broken, then skip the above connector i asked you to order.
Next , I can see that the speed sensor plug is missing (GREEN, ORANGE, Black(?) , that i can see hiding behind the blue plug)
Get 2.8mm 3 PIN connector both male and femaleyou want to make sure the “FORK LEFT SENSOR” on your front wheel has the same wire colours as the dash board wire, if unsure , keep posting images.
We got this , just follow as I say , you will get some life out of the bike (we hope!) , as I will have to try my best to explain everything remotely over here without me having the actual harness myself to repair it.
It might be one for you Marcel, he requires a clutch cover gasket and a air sensor for the st7
No problem, i will send you a quote today @aleyandy
Welcome to the forum , it is good to have you here 🙂
If you ride a Hyosung then ofcourse you can brag about it below 😉
Hope you enjoy your stay here 🙂
