From closed , it is  2.5 turns out on each cylinder and leave it there forever.

If the bike runs rough ,  you may have other issues like = wrong jets ,  float height issues , float seats jamming (flooding)  , throttle slide diaphragms sticking

Also, remove the “rubber intake pipes” from the engine, and replace those O-Rings as they tend to get old and allow bad air inside = bad mixture in engine

Thanks for the reply mate, i havnt tested it before but i can look it up on youtube it should be alright

We discussed this a few times on this forum in other threads. But search “stator” on this site and read topics that mention it as im sure Simon has mentioned how to test it or even myself. Its easy. If you get stuck let us know

Have you ever tested your Stator unit too ?

+1 On simon = We don’t really recommend keeping OEM or China regulators on carby 125 bikes in fairness, its common to just upgrade properly and be done.

Also, remember what i said above ^ in regards to the stator = If the last keeper didn’t mention it if you bought the bike , it could be time to overhaul the charging system. including the stator unit itself

But as before how handy are you testing stators ?  (Wise thing to do before adding a new reg incase its the stator that was also eating up the reg  or vice versa = married pair)

I don’t know the dealers in Poland,  do you have a local hyosung dealer there?

If not, I can check if i have any stock of tensioners but you need to take pictures of your tensioners (they are behind each engine head)  – Some tensioners will not fit , so i need to see the ones on your bike to verify as hyosung changed a few things around 2006-2008 , then again in 2008-2020

Also, ask local garage if they will help you fit tensioners and do valve clearances  (they will use Suzuki Shims)

But send me an email if you want me to find parts from EU , then send to Poland

Or check eBay Poland for “old GT125” engines for spares and you can ask sellers for tensioners to deliver locally ?

Hey Martin Send me an email (click CONTACT) at the bottom of the site.

I will do a special one as i will need to order a stator compatible with your bike and I will make also a custom Reg Rec that is 3x bigger.

The stator on this site is for carb models only.   I will add a new catalogue of EFi stators on the site as i keep adding products.

Believe me , I wish the UK stayed in EU, because half the stock i buy to fix customers bikes locally comes from EU!  – I will find a way to make shipping costs reasonable for you.

Sounds like the Cam Tensioner   = I would 100% replace it , just for a peace of mind.

Also you may need to do some “valve clearances too”, especially if the valve clearances are loose, the engine will make  the same “ra-tat-tat-tat” sounds almost sounding like an baby AK47 gun

But i would place my bets on the tensioner.

Also do you have a cylinder oil leak? as the middle of the rear cylinder looks dark

Wrong stator fella. Also the reg rec is defo a NO. It is so cheap it might aswell burn electronics later 😔I know i said it before but #1 problem for EFi hyosungs is the regulator, it is that big of a deal (since the EFi hyosung has wayyyyyy more electronics than a carb model does) followed by stators next (chinese ones are just woeful)

Your Hyosung is entirely south Korean built (except small things like plug caps are outsourced elsewhere)

I really would recommend upgrading the Reg Rec too that you see on the shop , as the #1 killer for Hyo EFi’s are the Regulators  (Hyo doesn’t make em, so its cheap outsourced part sadly)

Can you take a video in a very quite area – turn on the bike. And try to start it.

Go to youtube and upload a video  ==> set this video as “UNLISTED”   (so its not found on youtube searches) ,

Get the video link and paste it here.

Did you get a fault code last time?

Do your rubber intake pipes on the engine heads have an injection nipple intact or is it broken or blanked off ?

Also,  the vacuum pump is easier to fit as it mounts to the battery box ,  as you can drill a hole and zip tie it or do a nut and bolt trick but…,. zip tie method is easier if the battery tray doesn’t already have threaded mounts for it.

This is the pump Hyosung uses for later carb modes but.,… Mikuni made a special version of the DF series pump to have 2 gold fuel ports and a single silver vacuum hole

See our tutorial below for routing diagram too

The chinese have also cloned these pumps  (both electric and vacuum) and they fail a lot.  Since Hyosung isn’t making new carby electric pumps anymore,  be sure that if using a Vacuum version , it must be a genuine “Mikuni Japan” and it will say it on its sides.  Also it will have different screws than the chinese clones.

    Hey
Sorry that happend , what you saying is true, you can see also why Hyosung saw fit to contract Mikuni Japan to make them a custom version of their DF series vacuum pipe that uses vacuum feed.

This in turn caused later carb models of the hyosung bikes to have their rubber intake pipes to finally be re-moulded / re-made with an injection nipple for the vacuum hose to slot in to.     Only the front or rear pipe with 1 nipple is all it takes.

Would you be open to be using a vacuum pump going forward ?  – You might save “electric energy” so the stator & regulator is less overloaded too  (less electrics the better on a carby bike as its stator is only 12-poles)  (Full EFi bikes have 16-20+ poles depending if its Hyosung,Suzuki , Honda or etc)

Because the Dutch finally visited a witch coven and invited them to their labour to make a “wicked” potion to make our 2 wheeled kittys purr more!

Believe me, that juice is worth the squeeze!

I haven’t tried anything else better since then.  I hope Wynns stays in business as i use them on customer bikes lol

As per Simon 🙂  Emissions Control Pipes    (Some models have external ISCV units!  instead of being intergrated in to the airbox)

Also your being being a 2010 , should have this electronic box below   (it connects to the airbox then feeds the air back down to the engine mini metal pipes next the the exhaust manifolds

If your bike is supposed to have an external ISCV unit  (pre-2012)  (some models!) , look at this mount that hooks to the frame and the corresponding ISCV unit

Marcel, sorry to waste your time again. But.. does the GT650R from 2008, have the same ECU as the 250 ??, Course i might have found a wrecked one here in denmark 🙂

Not at all, it’s okay , it’s what the forum is for 🙂 Ask away.

650cc uses different mapping and has more electronics than a 250R does and it’s harness is a whole different beast lol. So the ECU will refuse to run on the 250cc,  if it tries to run a 250cc motor, it will be very rough and might just kill something electric.    I know “some sensors” work on both 650 and 250 but other parts are 650 specific and even the 650 bikes have different ECUs over the years.

From the handle bars   (left for choke) and (right for throttle)  – Remove the cables from the handle bars

Then you can remove your carbs with the cables still attached to their carb.

Now you can see what’s causing them to seize on the table somewhere.

This will protect your “rubber intake” pipes close to engine heads from splitting or getting stress under pressure

Update: I tried and got all the way to exposing Carburetor and removing all connecting fuel and air pipes except the Choke pipe or wire whatever they call it. I couldn’t get it out by wiggling it or pulling it. I didnt try to continue further as I was afraid of breaking something, what do you guys advise?

Try to post some pictures ?  So we can see where you are stuck

Marcel.. Do you have any broken Sentec MCUs floating around, that you just want to toss out ??! Im an electronics dude, and would like to crack one open, and see if i can do some reverse engineering to maybe replace it with a Microsquirt injection 🙂 Martin

Hey , I do not have one sadly , just the one that’s working on the same ebay.

I will try to look for it during the week, but last time i had difficulties doing so.

If you want,  send us the caliper and the old pistons , seals = and give me a month to sort it out  (i hope, as i will work with my cnc guy that makes pistons for the GT bikes on this hyoriders store) – Send us an email if you want to try that route
