Refer to the video. I turn it on, choke switch is all the way down for cold start.

This bike used to have a fried CDI unit and replaced it.

Checked wiring, everything looks fine electrical side except the digital dash isnt turning on and so do the headlights.

Other than that bike didn’t start for a year at least.

I think the jets may be clogged since the bike didn’t start for a long time.

Yeah like he said above  ^

Did you clean the carbs and put fresh fuel in the tank ?

After a year, that fuel will be very old and carbs will need some heavy cleaning

I did put fresh fuel, but didn’t open carburetor to clean it as I don’t know how. I saw there was a tutorial on gt250r, is it the same process?

It is similar but you have to make sure you take pictures of where all the pipes go so you don’t forget 🙂

Update: I tried and got all the way to exposing Carburetor and removing all connecting fuel and air pipes except the Choke pipe or wire whatever they call it.
I couldn’t get it out by wiggling it or pulling it. I didnt try to continue further as  I was afraid of breaking something, what do you guys advise?

From the handle bars   (left for choke) and (right for throttle)  – Remove the cables from the handle bars

Then you can remove your carbs with the cables still attached to their carb.

Now you can see what’s causing them to seize on the table somewhere.

This will protect your “rubber intake” pipes close to engine heads from splitting or getting stress under pressure

Thanks for the guide, I managed to clean up my carb by disconnecting it as you said.

Now bike will start (no need for choke to start it up)

It idles at 2.5k rpm (without choke, is it okay?)

Digital dashboard won’t turn on or show anything and front lights aren’t turning on or working either.

My question is what  can I do about it?

      Check front wiring? relays?

She sounds good!  1,800 rpm max idle is perfect.   2.5K rpm is too much.     1500 rpm is OEM.

Check the wiring harness from dashboard to the main bike frame and also make sure plugs do not have rust or broken pins

Hi again, I managed to get down the rpm but I did the turns on this cable too fast that it died and then never managed to start the bike again, this is the cable I messed with:

I tried to reset it to its original position but no success, now the bike will run only with choke but barely makes it past 2k rpm. I tried to mess around with the air mix screw aswell but no success.

I unplugged one of the spark plugs and the tip was dark black which a mechanic told me it’s running too rich because the 2k rpm on choke indicates that.

What could I possibly do to run it back again since the mechanics here don’t want to lay their hands on a Hyosung and I have to do it by myself.

Ps. I found a Spanish guy with a Hyosung carb model gt650r, he has videos for carb cleaning and everything so I followed his steps which worked the first time I did but since I messed around with that cable on the side of bike is when the trouble began.

Is the RING center silver colour? Because i could not tell in photos.  Or can you take more photos of front plug again vs rear plug?

The screw on the left stator case is for *Idle adjustment*  it controls how many rpm the bike should idle when it is hot

If engine is hot. Turn down screw to 1500 rpm and leave it there forever.

You may need to tell us jet sizes in the bike what size pilots in the carb? What size rear and front main jets?

This is the set I got from AliExpress, changed them recently. Also to mention again bike used to run fine, until I messed with this cable that is on right side of bike (

Then it means you will need to re-adjust that screw again.

      “clockwise”  = more revs
      “anti-clockwise” = reduce revs

If its too low, it won’t start,

Try to turn it to maximum clockwise , then start the bike, and quickly reduce it until it is around 1300 rpm

When the bike is hot , make sure it is idling at 1500 rpm  , then no need to touch it ever again,  next time it will always start and idle at 1500 rpm.
