Front = Rich , or ignition coil or ignition cap is wanning.
Rear = Rear cylinder jet may be blocked in full throttle , or slide NEEDLE is on lean setting or , plug is wanning

Clean the spiral threads of the plugs , or get new ones CR8E stock, then go for a little short test , take them out.
= If the plug threads are wet with oil, there could be an internal head leak to do with gaskets or valve seals
= If the plug threads are dry BUT ….all threads are dark = bike is overheating a tiny bit

The threads should be totally dry leaving on about 3-4 lines of thread dark , this would be acceptable and normal.

Hope this helps, will check your email shortly as i did get it but i was away for a day , my apologies!

Hmmm, do a quick ring with R&G UK and ask if they do crash bobbins for the bike, i can’t remember as i generally deal with the GT650s and i know they exist 100%  , but St7  (GV700iC) makes you a unique club on our soil , look after it, they go anywhere you take them 🙂

Hmmm, the headlight bracket would suit the face fairing the blue ones you see on ebay and they also expect you to bolt in a 7.6inch headlight , which we have a few   (both the glass) and the (housing back) of it  too, then you should be OK.

The dash is mounted separate with its own GT bracket that was linked to you which also joins the lower headlight bracket for stability.   Waterproof the harness very well if going naked!

    Visually?

How about these for most bolt on ?
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256002660316
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255976367096
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255972934812
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255947344973

Now you can still use your oem indicators too.

    The real issue now…
GTR harness for “headlight” potion will need rewiring

It is advised to buy another “Headlight Harness” for GTR that is damaged , as a way to custom fit   “GTR Main Loom” to GTR headlight (retrofitting) to GT headlight
    OR Universal for that matter.

Universal = Generally i avoid them , but just be sure whatever seller says should have 45-60mm brackets to hold it to the forks, but you can always measure fork legs.  The fork legs have dips that can drop or rise its thickness.

What about your dashboard ?  use this mount below
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255997354711

    Did this help ?

Before i can advise about bars , switches ,  next  , unless you know what you are doing 🙂

The ad says 20w , i assumed every bulb ,  then its 80watts if all light up at once! – Could cook the harness since if you notice your highbeam lights draw 55w, and their wires are thicker than the indicator wires  ( watts vs current (amps) vs ohms, if you want to get technical calculating it yourself)  = The harness has a 15A rating.

Hopefully the seller said its actually 5w per bulb 🙂   ,  after a ride just check the buzzer winker relay isn’t hot or anything.

    Hey,
We have a listing for the lever, that i can confirm it is compatible with yours as the “2014” model still uses the one below  (a bit tatty but can always paint it up?)
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256028459017

ST7 did get discontinued a few yrs later , but Korea has changed parts there and there across their models even the 2001 GV125 had factory 1nch bars than 2007 using 22mm ones, but some sellers think its universal across the board ,  just becautious out there.  if in doubt ,  email me (ill get it from local wholeseller)  or ring Startright Leeds  (oldest hyo dealer) , mention my name to jump the queue .

    Hey,
The bike engine  (clutch, crank, etc..) all use the same oil.   Max capacity is 1.5L

Recommended oil (in my own bikes and what i put in customer machines)
    – Motul 7100
    – Motul 300v
    – Silkolene Pro 4
    – Silkolene Comp 4

Get 10w40 grade.      Don’t buy “20W” grade,  as its too thick, not needed for this UK climate anyways  (we don’t get sahara desert temps over here)

It is recommended to change the oil filter every time the oil changes, to prolong engine life.

Oil Filter – Hyosung GV125-S EFi (Injected)

Thanks Marcel, great video! Would your diagnosis be correct even though with no load, in neutral, it revs perfectly?

it is what one of our GV donor’s did, the carb was being a nuisance so had to reset the whole thing and re-do it all up,  in fairness , it also needed engine clearances doing as last owners didn’t treat it well.

I meant “choke/chock”  (english is weird) as in , if you ride faster , the bike feels like its being strangled by its neck.

That would be your carb slides fella , they should be freely moving up and down , without so much as a disturbance intheir cylinder walls of the carb unit

Though around 4k – 7k rpm is slide territory ,  after 8k ish , they should be fully lifted , drinking main jet fuel.

Take a look at this video,  it is “exactly” how our carbs behave based on situation and throttle action.

    What a beauty.

Can you elabroate more on “chocking” behavior ? What does it actually do if you go faster ? What speed is it happy at ? also what does the tacho gauge rpm needle do ?

Nice LED bulbs , are they actually 20W each or 20W total for all 4 ?  I say this because the OEM relay usually wants a max of 10w per bulb and the harness itself.

We came to the conclusion we think its the ignition coils, it links to all the symptoms of a failed one e.g. spluttering, bogging, no power Bike is currently at the garage and im waiting for the coils to arrive for me to give to them to fit!

They should arrive soon with your reg rec, minor delay from supply chain but i got you! Reply to the old emails i sent you for updates   (not the blue ones , those are just reciepts)

Mixture with size 15 pilot jets – 2.5 full turns out front and 2.75 for the rear as its a 125cc  and leave this forever (no matter what mood she is in)
If you have 17.5 pilot jets  (sometimes Korea does this but not all GV’s have it, and tbh 15 is correct size as all GT125 Comets use Aquila engines too , with factory 15s every time i fix them they always have 15s in.)   ,  i am digressing, as i was saying if you have 17.5,  you will be hovering around 2 full turns to 2.5 turns max usually.  ,  less than 2 will overheat the bike even if it runs better lower. No true number of factory turns were revealed as korea sets them uniquely even so much as 1/10th of an turn less or more on each bike they test and ship out.

Trust me when i say if the slides look fishy, just replace them.  bad ones or worn down slides would cause fueling issues  and sometimes it won’t idle properly as a slide is stuck or not fully closed down. Another thing is to check the slide needle isn’t on fully lean setting or fully rich setting, you want to be in the middle if there is 5 grooves , then as the bike gets better, then enrichen it one step down towards pointy end.

Old age is the enemy of rubber slides but sometimes its just last keepers using E10 then letting the bike sit for months rotting, so it degrades things further

Hmmm,  ring startrights Leeds as i work with them sometimes , they are the oldest hyo dealer.

Failing that , just send me an email , as i do upgrade clutch parts at this shop ,   you may see springs , bearing , and metal discs but fibre ones will be listed soon  (just awaiting pictures ) but i can get them anything as quick as i can.

It is definitely a bad tensioner because the head shows scrapes as if there was lash in the chain.

So back to my question, how much would it cost to get a replacement intake can and both tensioners?

Funny thing is I got the whole bike for 150 bucks and I’ve put more than that into it in part it’s just to get it running right XD

Feel free to send me an email and ill offer multiple shipping choices to suit you and lead time before it hits USA 🙂

Just been out for a lovely evening ride and its all working fine now. Strange but nevertheless problem has gone!

    Glad it’s working out okay!

Hey when you get time, just make sure all connectors on the bike are clean and use a tiny drop of ACF50 inside each plug, that will ensure the plugs stay good and prolong their life  (metal oxidization is still a thing on bikes)

    Ride easy!
