I’ve been riding a Hyo(GV250) for a couple years now. Trying to learn how to wrench on these things.
I’ve been meaning to put a review out for the uprated stator/regulator combo but until I fix other issues pertaining to my bike I can’t give it a fair shake. Very sorry Marcel haha, your wire work is impeccable however and I initially thought something was up but turns out I forgot to toss a fuse in the thing. Voltage and current readings are nice though, but the battery actually drains while idling, everything is fine once the RPMs ramp up though. I actually decided to introduce myself because I am now at my wits end working on this thing and could use some guidance. Fuel injector replacement is the next project after replacing the iginition lock.I ride because to me, motorcycles are a symbol of freedom, rebellion and independence. Getting my motorcycle license freed me from my dead-end job at Walmart.

Aww , sorry to hear that man! – Never a good thing to hear a story like this but i have great hope in this.
Right, i assume you’re handy with the meter ?
So check AC output of the stator at 5k revs and tell us if all 3 yellow wires are same voltage or variances ?
eg.Yellow 1 & Yellow 2 =
Yellow 2 & Yellow 3Yellow 3 & Yellow 1
You should get 3 AC readings from these 3 combinations above.
Then advise us if there is anyone locally (any bike shop) that carries a YUASA BATTERY LOAD METER (it’s got a screen and it will literally say “battery good, battery bad, charge system OK (regulator test between idling and 5k revs) ?
