Description
The original factory brake pad pin is often made of mild steel, making it highly prone to seizing due to rain, road salt, and general road debris. This makes routine brake maintenance a nightmare. Our stainless steel alternative is a lifetime upgrade that is British-made and designed for all-season riding. It ensures smoother pad movement within the caliper, leading to more consistent and reliable braking performance.

Don’t forget the tiny grub screw that locks this pin in place! Upgrade that to matching stainless/titanium to prevent seized threads. View Retaining Grub Screw Here.
🔧 Install Tips
- Lubricate: Always use copper grease on the shaft of this pin where it slides through the brake pads. This is vital for smooth braking and easy removal later.
- Torque Spec: The pin should be torqued gently—around 13–16Nm. The small retaining grub screw you just installed locks it in place, not sheer tightness.
- Inspect Pads: Inspect your brake pads for uneven wear when the pin is out. Uneven wear can indicate a seized caliper piston or sliding pins.
