📅 YEARS: All model years from 2005 through to 2020 (Carb and EFI models).
❌ WILL NOT FIT: GT650 Naked or GV650 Cruiser models (These require a longer cable).
Ensure smooth action and longevity. Grab some ACF-50 Lubricant/Protectant to keep your new cable internals corrosion-free.
🔧 Install Tips
- Cable Routing: Ensure the new cable follows the exact same path as the original to avoid sharp bends or stretching during steering.
- Adjust Carefully: Use both the lever adjuster and the engine-side adjuster to set the correct amount of slack (free play) as specified in your manual.
- Lubricate: While the cable is new and pre-lubed, a shot of appropriate cable lubricant through the sheath before the first ride is always recommended.
