Description
Many riders only replace the friction plates during a clutch service, but the metal “driven” plates are just as important. Over years of hard use, heat and load cause these steel plates to warp or groove. This is the “Maintenance Reality” of older bikes, leading to a spongy lever feel, difficulty finding neutral, or outright clutch slip. Our premium-grade, heat-treated steel replacements are built tougher than OEM, providing a firm, reliable clutch action that lasts.

🔧 Install Tips
- Soak Friction Plates: Always soak new friction plates in fresh motorcycle engine oil (JASO MA2 rated) for at least 30 minutes before installation. Do not soak these steel plates.
- Inspect Basket: Check your clutch basket “fingers” for deep notching or grooves, which can cause plates to snag.
- Torque Evenly: Use a quality torque wrench to tighten the pressure plate bolts in a criss-cross pattern to the factory specification.
- Manuals: Access free service manuals in the HyoRiders forum.
