Description

Life on everyday roads is tough on your drivetrain parts. Over thousands of miles, engine heat and transmission vibration cause original locking plates to deform or lose their clamping strength. When you are renewing your sprockets, do not gamble on an old, bent washer. This genuine factory part ensures your front sprocket stays exactly where it belongs—bolted tight to the engine drive shaft output.

💡 RECOMMENDED DRIVETRAIN PAIRING:
Do not use a rounded, rusty, or stripped factory nut with a brand new lock plate. Ensure the best thread grip and easiest future maintenance by swapping the old fastener out. View the matching Engine Front Sprocket Nut here.

🔧 Install Tips

  • Clean the Splines: Before sliding the fresh plate into place, clear away old grease from the output shaft splines to ensure the metal sits completely flat against your new sprocket face.
  • Bend the Safety Tab: Once your front sprocket nut is torqued down to factory manual specification, use a flat chisel or solid pliers to fold one section of the washer edge firmly up against a flat flat side of the nut.
  • Check Drive Chain Slack: Always maintain 20–30mm of vertical chain slack. A drive chain adjusted too tightly places severe pressure on this gearbox mount point and your engine output bearings.
