• Freeze Before Assembly: Drop your new metal tracks inside a domestic freezer bag for an hour or two before you start your restoration work. Shrinking the metal slightly makes it significantly easier to drop them down inside the aluminum wheel hub seats.
• Use a Bearing Driver Tool: Always use a proper hand driver tool or a sized large socket that matches the outer metal ring to tap the hardware home square. Never hit the delicate center rubber seal or the inner track ring, or you will ruin the rolling balls immediately.
• Grease the Hub Seat: Wipe an incredibly fine smear of standard wheel grease directly onto the inside of your aluminum wheel hub seat blocks before inserting the parts. This stops future thread binding and makes the job clean.
• Watch Your Axle Tightness: Do not overtighten your main wheel axle nut on the swingarm, or you will cause internal binding against your wheel spacers. Always spin the wheel by hand once tightened down to confirm quiet, completely unrestricted motion.
