Description

The front sprocket nut is an easy part to forget about, but it is a critical fastener for keeping the final drive on your GV125-S safe. Whenever you swap out a worn chain and sprocket set, using fresh matching hardware is the best way to keep everything tight. This factory-spec nut is built to handle the tightening force needed for your 125cc motor, making it a smart way to stop the main drive gears from working loose on everyday roads.

📜 Confirmed Fitment Guide

Modern Liquid-Cooled 125cc Group: Direct drop-in fitment verified for the fuel-injected bobber variants detailed below.

  • Hyosung GV125-S Aquila Bobber EFi: Fits all standard models from 2019 to present.
❌ WILL NOT FIT THESE MOTORCYCLES:

  • Alternative Engine Capacities & Old Models: This nut is strictly for the modern GV125-S engine casing. It will not fit classic air-cooled 125cc lines (like GV125C or GT125), nor will it fit any 250cc or 300cc models.
💡 ESSENTIAL PAIRING NOTE: You must swap your front sprocket lock washer at the same time as this nut. The tab washer is a one-time safety part that can snap if bent back and forth too many times. View GV125-S Locking Washer Here.

🔧 Install Tips

  • Use a Torque Wrench: Never guess how tight your sprocket nut is. Use a proper torque wrench and tighten the nut to the settings listed in your workshop manual (usually 55 to 65Nm).
  • Fold the Washer Tab: Once the nut is fully tightened down, use a flat screwdriver and a small mallet to carefully bend the edge of your new locking washer flat against one of the straight sides of the nut.
  • Clean the Threads First: Wipe away old sticky chain grease and road grit from the gearbox shaft threads before putting the new hardware on. This makes sure your wrench readings are accurate. For extra peace of mind, you can add a small dab of blue medium-strength thread-locking glue to the shaft.
  • Manufacturer Reference Cross-Match: Directly replaces original production factory record number 09140-16017JS.
