Thanks will get some more pics done when I get some time to tidy her up a bit π
And oops it didn’t look like it posted so I did it again that’s why it’s 3 posts π
Street for now but thinking I might get a spare set of wheels with off road tyres, found the combi tyres aren’t for me
All the new parts from the shop are working great thank you
it’s amazing the difference working electrics make haha
got some bits done on the bike still need to do the paintwork and tidy up the dash but that can wait till winter
time to rack up some miles

Got a few bits done stiyneed to do paintwork and tidy up the dash but it can wait till winter time to have a bit of fun putting some miles on her π

Done the next stage of the bike still got the paint to do and tidy up the dash
Β but that can wait till winter for now it’s the weather for riding not fixing a bike πMarcel is the expert with these bikes π I’m just a good spanner monkey
I done a engine swap on my bike gsxr 750 carb to 1L injection so know a bit about it π€
You will need the ECU for the engine to match , if you have the wire loom from the new engine it helps set things up if not you might find it easier to make a loom and add in all the bits on the bike lights etc to it or you can have it run as 2 systems the original wires for lights etc and the ECU just do the engine.
If you think of it as the main bit is the engine work the electrics back from there as the rest is mostly just swinging things on and off, so not that hard to rewire
I don’t know that bike,Β so wait to see what Marcel says he’s the pro π
It’s not street legal or good for the bike but if you make it run ritch and put a ignitor in the exhaust to burn the fuel that’s got past the engine you can turn flames off/on with a switch still need to rev and shut off throttle to get flames
Like I and everyone else has said it’s not worth it ( show mod only) kills the engine quicker than you think it will
So far it looks good done about 50-60 miles so far no issues it’s some carbon mate and high temperature resin should be good for 200c
Not done it before so it’s a test see how it works π
Got the MOT retest done today and now all road legal π
Still got a few jobs left to do before I’m done but there a winter job.
Change dash
Change mount for dash cam display
Change foot pegs
Do final paint and airbrush
For now it’s time to get some miles done π and see what else I will modify π€
Didn’t know if it would work , so far it works well

Had the MOT today failed on a couple minor things will get them done tomorrow and get the retest booked,
the new chain and sprockets have helped the bike feel like a bigger bike , I have only done a couple miles to MOT and back , will do a full review when I put some miles on it π
What did you use to tighten it up with last time ?
If you can’t find a socket you can use a monkey wrench but it could damage the nut
Had to do it for race prep on my old bike

Did you use a torque wrench? If you need to stop it moving easiest way put the chain on, put it in gear (engine switched off π ) get a mate to press rear brake or hang something from the lever π€
Have you got a picture as it would help
the washer is bent up to help stop the nut from spinning
How are you putting the nut on and tightening it up hand or impact gun
Is there any place for a split pin orΒ you might be able to wire lock it in place
Hi welcome to the club π
I take it you have checked all the easy things (no water in fuel, new fuel, clean filter, float height, fuel flow rate etc)
How did you set the mixer screw when you cleaned the carb ,Β if one jet is blocked then it would need a full strip and clean as the rest are likely to need cleaning , might not need the rebuild kit just a can of carb cleaner and a full strip down and retuneΒ π€ it’s cheap to do and might work before you get a rebuild kit π€
Welcome to club again π good luck
Didn’t cut any had about 1/2 a link slack on the second chain, spins free and straight and looks good just need to get it running so can see if the math’s is right on set up π

Almost done now just got to make a intake manifold, clean tune carb and bleed brakes then MOT time πSep 11, 2024 at 6:35 PM in reply to: Rev counter and mileage screen not working – 2003 GV125 Carby #14752Follow wires from it back as far as you can look for broken or damaged wires, check the connections all connected no corrosion.Β look for any changes in the display as you move wire
It sounds like a bad wire somewhere finding it is the hard part
Looking good π I like the finished look π it’s not far off how I would do that bike π€ hope you been having fun and she rides as good as it looks π
If compression is good have a look at intake manifold see if it’s split it’s common and it messes with the fueling , unless you have changed something in the carb or done some big performance parts it’s shouldn’t be to far off
idle screw and mix screwΒ need adjusting if everything else checks out
Had a couple hours so did a few more bits π
Still got to do wheel bearings chain and sprocket, fit the carb (need the intake manifold it’s on order) sort out light alignment and bolt the seat on.
So not a lot left now π€π

I used that website once before 3weeks later no part so got money back, a mate used them same thing π€
I have found a lot of nice parts that fit my bike from the shop on here π
For your repairs check forks see if they are still straight that’s the biggest problem you might have , the rest is easy enough should be straight swap, check engine case for oil leaks, deep scratches etc have a check of wiring see if anything got damaged
Sounds like a Broken wire/ connector check connector 1st , work back and do as says he says he knows his bikes π€π
