Description
Tired or heavily worn friction segments are the direct cause of irritating engine rev flaring, slow acceleration responses, and highly notchy gear changes through the foot pedal. This factory-specification aftermarket Hyosung clutch plates set replaces your glazed lining layers to restore smooth, predictable power delivery. The slow maintenance reality is that your internal friction face linings wear down under continuous stop-start road heat, dropping below the safe thickness wear limit. Reusing thin or heat-scorched parts creates excessive internal vacuum drag, causing the components to stick together and making it incredibly difficult to locate the neutral detent position when idling at junctions during a restoration project.
Swapping these critical components out stops your engine torque from wasting energy inside the engine casing, ensuring your gear selection remains perfectly smooth and crisp on everyday journeys.

🔧 Install Tips
- Submerge the Fibres for 24 Hours: This is the absolute number one rule for an engine rebuild—always submerge your new friction linings completely inside a bath of fresh motor oil for a minimum of 24 hours before you slot them inside the basket. Fitting them bone dry will glaze and ruin the composite lining material immediately on startup!
- Scrub Your Casing Mount Grooves: Use a clean cloth along with a mild solvent spray to thoroughly clean out any old dark engine debris, oil lacquer, or metal friction silt from your aluminum hub tracks before sliding the new fibres into position.
- Check Your Release Cable Free Play: Once you bolt your side cover back down and fill your casing with fresh fluid, verify that your handlebar actuator wire turns smoothly within its sheath. A binding or over-tight cable line will cause continuous plate drag and premature friction wear.
