Description
Upgrading your V-twin engine basket with these premium aftermarket driven metal discs is an essential choice for riders experiencing engine flaring or notched gear changes. As your bike handles touring, daily riding, and long road trips, the internal transmission plates face severe heat cycles that warp or glaze the factory metal surfaces over time. While these driven steel plates are an aftermarket upgrade, they behave identically to original factory parts to restore optimal clutch pressure and zero slip. This kit contains the steel plates only in a pack of five which the bike requires anyway.
⚠️Please note that friction plates and clutch springs are sold separately, making this the ideal choice if you are piecing together a custom basket service or replacing specific warped discs on your workbench during a restoration project.

🔧 Installation Tips & Help
Replacing a basket assembly is a standard workshop task. Follow these steps on the workbench for a professional result:
- SOAK ALL NEW FRICTION PLATES FULLY: If you are replacing your friction elements at the same time, always soak them completely submerged inside a container of clean engine oil for at least 24 hours prior to assembly. Attempting to run the motor with dry plates will burn the lining faces instantly!
- Inspect the Outer Basket Channels: While your old plates are out on the bench, check the internal alloy basket ears closely for any deep notches or grooved wear ridges. Heavy grooves catch the tabs and stop the plates from sliding cleanly.
- Follow a Diagonal Torque Sequence: When winding your clutch springs down into place, use an alternating criss-cross star pattern to tighten the bolts down evenly. This distributes spring pressure lines squarely to avoid warping the pressure plate or breaking the delicate hub posts.
