- Routing is Key: Ensure the new cable follows the exact same path as the old one, avoiding tight bends, kinks, or pinch points against the frame or tank.
- Lubrication: Although pre-lubed, adding extra light cable lubricant inside the sheath before installation extends life and reduces lever effort.
- Adjust Carefully: Once installed, adjust free play using the barrel adjusters (lever and engine side). Aim for 2–3mm slack at the lever tip.
