Description
The original regulator/rectifier unit is a known weak point on 250cc Hyosungs. They often run hot and fail without warning, causing poor charging, unstable idle, and dim lights. Our aftermarket unit is a definitive performance upgrade, using modern technology and a superior heatsink to manage heat better than the “ancient” OEM diode tech. We’ve solved the fitment issue by including a custom, hand-built harness, making this a simple plug-and-play installation.

📜 Confirmed Fitment Guide
📅 YEARS: 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015
(EFi Models Only).
❌ WILL NOT FIT: 2016+ models which use a different, larger connector type. Email us if you are unsure.
A faulty stator will immediately destroy a new regulator. If you have had previous issues, you must test your stator first.
🔧 Install Tips
- Test Your Stator FIRST: Use your service manual to test the stator output with a multimeter. A bad stator *will* burn out this new unit.
- Mounting: This unit is larger than stock. You will need to get creative with fitting it to the frame. Ensure the wires/plugs face the rear wheel (like the factory intended!) to avoid water ingress.
- Battery Health: This upgrade needs a quality battery (Yuasa, Exide). Cheap batteries stress the whole charging system. Get your battery load tested professionally.

Starting with the quality of the wire work, excellently put together. As for longevity, I made this switch around 4k miles when my stock regulator went out. I decided to just replace the stator as well. (The stator provided by Marcel was a ElectroSport USA stator]
It has been three years since I’ve had these parts and they have continued to hold up. I blew one regulator fuse(THANK YOU) and that is from pushing the bike to the absolutely limit(6 months ago) on a speedrun to get to an Autoparts shop for a drainplug for my car before they closed.
If you are looking to replace the stock reg and stator I would trust the work put out here. They know where to find quality parts. If it wasn’t for wanting to not mess with this again, I would pick up a Shinden set that is still floating around here.
