Description
When your stopping friction runs low, you risk scoring the metal discs and losing vital lever response. This axle set of aftermarket friction brake pads offers an excellent balance of longevity and dependable bite without tearing up your budget. Formulated as a versatile semi-metallic compound, you can spot the golden heat-dispersing metal flecks blended into the dark organic compound material. This composite engineering delivers consistent braking performance in wet or dry conditions without the harsh, aggressive wear patterns on your discs often caused by full sintered racing setups. Drop a fresh set in during your next maintenance session to ensure optimal safety on the road.

❌ EXCLUSIONS:
- GV125-S EFi Bobber: Incompatible. This machine runs a bespoke black linked setup that does not employ this specific pad design.
- GV250-DR (Post-2018): Will not fit the updated wheel setups.
⚠ ATTENTION 250cc & 650cc OWNERS:
- Later production versions of the GT650, GT650R, and GV650 switched to large black 4-piston front calipers hanging off updated black forks. These pads will not fit those assemblies.
- Rear calipers on EFi versions of the GT250, GT250R, GT650, and GT650R manufactured from 2014 onwards changed to a black 2-piston opposing design that completely omits this specific pad shape. ⚠️ Always check your actual component finish before purchasing.
🔧 Install Tips
- Piston cleanup: Before pushing the hydraulic pistons back to accommodate the thicker fresh linings, spray them with brake cleaner and brush away all accumulated grime. Pushing grit past the internal fluid seals will cause leaks and sticking.
- Check anti-rattle spring: Make sure the internal W-shaped spring plate is seated correctly inside the channel. If it is bent or loose, your fresh linings will wobble and clatter over road ruts. See the diagram picture for correct visual placement.
- Bedding-in process: Avoid heavy emergency stopping for the first 50 miles. Use gentle, progressive lever applications to allow the fresh semi-metallic material to transfer an even layer of compound onto your steel disc surfaces without glazing over.
