Description

Ignition coils are essential for creating the massive voltage needed to fire your V-Twin engine. Over time, high engine heat and constant chassis vibration degrade the internal copper windings, leading to tracking issues, weak hot-starting, or total ignition failure. Since original factory components are no longer produced for these early EFI setups, we offer two distinct solutions to match your needs: a reliable standard aftermarket option or a premium Japanese-engineered unit with superior insulation. It is an essential performance fix to protect your bike against cheap bodge components that fail under load.

💎 Choose Your Performance Level

Select between dependable OEM-spec value or upgraded internal insulation to suit your restoration budget.

Aftermarket OptionCost-effective, direct factory match performance. Japan-Made OptionUpgraded internal build quality and heat longevity.

📜 Confirmed Fitment Guide (Early EFI)

✅ FITS: GT250, GT250R, GT650R, GV650, and GV250 models.
📅 ECU Types: Confirmed fitment for early electronic fuel injection versions running Sentec, Mitsubishi, or Daewoo ECUs (typically between 2008 and 2012).
❌ WILL NOT FIT: Any later configuration using a Delphi ECU system or revised main loom design. The plugs are physically different. ⚠️ If your GV250 is dated 2013 onwards, verify your setup with us first.

💡 RECOMMENDED PAIRING:
Factory spark plug caps deteriorate quickly from moisture ingress. Eliminate weak links completely by mounting fresh, robust **NGK Spark Plug Caps** alongside your new ignition components. View NGK Caps here.

🔧 Install Tips

  • Diagnose First: Confirm your performance trouble is rooted within the coil packs rather than breakdown from ancient spark plugs or high-resistance resistive HT caps.
  • Check Connectors: Visually inspect the original plug shapes on your current frame harness against our product photos to confirm an exact hardware match for Sentec, Mitsubishi, or Daewoo layouts.
  • Torque Specs: Mount the bracket screws firmly into the frame hangers but avoid over-tightening into the threaded chassis points.
