Description
This kit includes five stainless steel magneto bolts designed specifically for the stator (also known as the alternator, or generator) housing on Hyosung GV125-S EFi (Aquila 125 S) motorcycles from 2018–Present.
Hyosung’s original stator bolts are made from lower-grade factory steel, which can easily seize, or round off during removal — Our upgrade set solves this issue permanently using stronger high-quality stainless hardware.
💎 Why Upgrade to Stainless Bolts?
- 🧲 Corrosion-resistant – stainless steel won’t rust
- 🔧 Exact-fit dimensions – matches OEM bolt lengths
- ⚙️ Ideal for stator, alternator, and generator cover replacements.
- 🏍️ Perfect for rebuilds or magneto upgrades – prevents future headaches with seized bolts.
- 🧰 Reusable and easy to torque – unlike the soft OEM fasteners that strip easily.

🧠 Installation Tips & Advice:
- Before removing your old stator (magneto / generator / alternator), make sure the bike is disconnected from the battery to avoid electrical shorts.
- Always use the correct JIS socket to prevent stripping the OEM bolts – they’re soft and often over-torqued from factory.
- Once removed, clean the stator housing threads with a wire brush or thread chaser to remove old threadlock or corrosion.
- If your OEM bolts are rusty or seized, apply a penetrating fluid and allow time before removal – avoid excessive heat, as stator magnets and insulation are sensitive.
- When fitting the new stainless bolts, apply a small amount of blue threadlocker (Loctite 243) to prevent vibration loosening.
- Torque bolts evenly in a criss-cross pattern – overtightening can warp the stator plate or crack the crankcase boss.
- Do not use red (permanent) threadlock, as it can make future servicing impossible without damage.
- If the old bolts were seized, consider lightly greasing the new ones to ease future maintenance.
- Inspect your stator grommet and wiring harness while inside the alternator housing – cracked insulation can cause intermittent charging issues.
- For added protection, spray a thin coat of corrosion inhibitor (like ACF-50) after reassembly.
Replacing your stator bolts with stainless steel not only prevents corrosion but ensures every future alternator or generator service is clean, easy, and damage-free. It’s a small upgrade that saves big headaches later.
