🔧 Install Tips

  • Torque to Spec: Use a torque wrench! Tighten the nut to the factory specification (check your manual for Nm/ft-lb settings). Don’t guess the torque.
  • Lock it Down: After torquing the nut, use a flathead screwdriver and a small hammer to carefully bend one edge of the new washer over a flat side of the nut.
  • Cleanliness is Key: Clean the gearbox shaft threads of old grease and dirt for an accurate torque reading.
