Forums 🚥 PiT STOP 🔧 Hyosung Technical Help GV 125S (2024) – Shad Pannier Set Reply To: GV 125S (2024) – Shad Pannier Set
So it turns out that the fitting kit I got does fit my bike – I’ve just spent some time with it this morning and managed to get it fitted.
These are the instructions for the frame kit: https://www.picbox.uk/media/shad/documents/H0GV18IF.pdf
It was step 3 that I was getting confused at – it looks as though there’s a bolt and nut it wants you to remove (parts E and D), but all I could see there was the pin that goes through the pillion peg pivot point, with the retaining E ring to hold it in place. I went and looked at the Sinnis website to compare the pillion footpeg parts list for the 2018-2020 model and the 2021-onwards model, and they’re identical, so I figured that the Shad instructions must be referring to those two parts. Removing them and using all of the washers and spacers from the Shad kit did make everything line up and the frame is now securely fitted to my bike. The pillion foot pegs also still pivot nicely, so even though I’ve replaced a smooth pin with a threaded bolt, that doesn’t seem to have affected the functionality there at all (though it would have made more sense to me to have that bolt be only partially threaded, like the instructions show – but the actual bolt I had was fully threaded). I’m only riding on a CBT, so the pillion footpegs themselves don’t matter to me much, but that may not be true for the next owner when I get my A license and upgrade.
Thanks for the info and advice anyway
