If you are chasing erratic idling or “ghost” air leaks, the culprit is often the internal seal between the two halves of the throttle body. Unlike standard O-rings, this is a bespoke Hyosung-manufactured figure-8 seal. It bridges the gap where the airbox/stepper motor pipes meet the lower assembly housing the injectors, TPS, and TMap sensor. Using a “cheap bodge fix” or generic sealant here will eventually clog your sensors—only this OEM seal provides the correct vacuum-tight compression required for the V-Twin intake.

🔧 Maintenance Advice
- Bore Alignment: Ensure the figure-8 is seated perfectly in the groove before tightening the housing bolts. Even a slight pinch will cause a vacuum leak.
- ISCV Check: If the O-ring is replaced but the bike still hangs at high RPM, check the ISCV (Idle Stepper Motor) for carbon buildup or mechanical failure.
