After many years of hard use ;old worn throttle slide springs should be replaced during a rebuild / servicing maintenance as ideal to maintain optimal carb performance. Sometimes an “uneven” Throttle Slide Spring (we have 2!) or damaged ones can cause all kinds of weird behaviour(sticky slides, surging throttle, hesitancy to accelerate, etc…)
A good diaphragm spring helps to regulate the fuel in the mixture, thus allowing most optimal carb performance.
The item location is shown in the pictures above (#11) ^
You will get one piece. if you want 2 Springs, add “2” at the checkout.
