Description

The charging system is the heart of your motorcycle’s electronics. For the Hyosung GV300S (2019+ Onwards), the regulator is unfortunately positioned near the rear wheel, exposing it to heat, road salt, and vibration. When the factory regulator fails, it can send a voltage spike directly to your MOTION / Delphi ECU—a part that is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive to replace.

Standard regulators “shunt” excess power back into the stator, causing the stator to bake in its own heat. MOSFET technology switches the circuit instead, allowing the unit to run much cooler. This stability is critical for EFI bikes, where a clean 14.2V–14.5V signal ensures the fuel pump and injectors fire correctly.

🔧 Installation & Battery Health Tips

Because the Shingden unit is larger than the stock regulator for better heat dissipation, you may need to be creative with mounting (using zip-ties or Loctite bolts). Please follow these guidelines for a successful install:

• Clean Your Connectors: Before plugging in our harness, use Contact Cleaner on your bike’s loom. Protect it with ACF-50. NEVER use WD-40 on electrical plugs as it is flammable and attracts grit.
• Battery Condition: Your regulator is only as good as your battery. Ensure you are using a healthy AGM Battery.
• ❌ NO LITHIUM: Do not use Lithium batteries with this system; they are incompatible with Hyosung charging profiles.
• Load Test: If you suspect charging issues, have your battery load-tested at a garage. A simple multimeter reading is not enough to confirm a healthy cell.
