Description
The V-Twin engine starter setup relies on completely smooth, loose-free parts to spin over correctly. This driven gear bearing sits right behind the heavy magnetic flywheel and is very easy to miss until it locks up tight or develops severe wobble play. When that happens, it causes a lazy starter feel or a complete failure to crank over. If you are already opening up the left-hand side engine casing to inspect your one-way sprag clutch or rebuild the flywheel, fitting a fresh bearing is the only proper way to guarantee long-term starting reliability on cold mornings.
💎 Ensure Every Start Is a Success
| Smooth Rolling ActionDrops drag resistance significantly to allow your electric battery power to spin the crank at full speed. | Fixes Slow CrankingReplaces rough, worn rollers that drag down the starter power and mimic a flat battery. |
| Hidden Protection SetupSits safely buried inside the oily casing cover to stay totally protected from outside rain water and grit road grime. | Heavy V-Twin DutyHardened steel needles built to withstand persistent engine vibration kick-back shocks. |
📜 Confirmed Fitment Guide
Confirmed Engine Matches: Fits classic 125cc air/oil-cooled V-Twin carburettor models only:
- GT125 & GT125R Comet: Fits all classic carburettor twin-cam setups built between 2003 and 2019.
- GV125C Aquila: Fits all classic low-seat cruiser twin-pipe configurations built between 1999 and 2016.
- Oversized Engine Series: Does NOT fit any 250cc, 300cc, or 650cc models. The larger engines use significantly wider flywheel hub tracks.
- Modern S-Platform Bobbers: Does NOT match the newer liquid-cooled GV125S EFI models, which use a completely separate engine block pattern.
On standard unfaired or naked bikes, the front cylinder takes a constant beating from grit, road salt, mud, and water thrown straight off the front tyre. This leaves the factory screws rusty and swollen. Upgrade your engine today with our bright Stainless Engine Casing Bolts or seal up your top end securely using our premium Titanium Valve Cover Bolts to prevent rounding off heads during your next service!
🔧 Install Tips
- Drain or Tilt the Bike: You will need to take off the left-hand engine generator cover to access this internal space. Tilt the motorcycle far over to the right or dump the engine oil first to avoid a messy splash pool on your floor tiles.
- Use Proper Clip Pliers: Have a clean pair of circlip opening pliers and a flywheel pulling tool ready. If the old bearing race is tight on the shaft, applying a tiny bit of heat around the alloy boss area will help it slide free cleanly without galling the metal.
- Press Completely Flat: Press the fresh bearing package perfectly straight, square, and flush into the gear hole seat. Never strike the delicate open cage rollers with a hard steel hammer—always use a smooth socket drift hitting only the hard outer casing rim.
