Description
We have all experienced a leaking petcock at some point—most frequently caused by an old, flattened, or weather-damaged rubber ring. While original factory parts channels only offer the complete assembly at a massive cost, this replacement face seal lets you fix the fluid tracking issue quickly and affordably. Using a worn-out component inside your petcock housing leads to persistent petrol leaks, creating serious garage safety hazards and constantly wasting expensive fuel. This high-grade rubber Hyosung fuel tap seal is engineered to match the original factory pattern. It ensures a 100% leak-free repair for your carbs model during your ongoing restoration project.
This gasket is a basic component but it performs a highly critical role in the safe running of your motorcycle. It is produced from an uprated rubber compound designed explicitly to withstand modern pump fuels and intense engine heat, maintaining its flexible seal integrity long-term without cracking or turning brittle.

🔧 Install Tips
- Wipe the Castings Spotless: Use a clean cloth to thoroughly wipe down the inner petcock channels and your tank mount mating lips before sliding your new rubber parts into place. Any trapped road dirt will compromise the flush face seal.
- Lubricate the Material Lightly: Wipe an incredibly fine smudge of clean motor oil directly around the rubber ring face before reassembly. This stops the material from dragging, twisting, or pinching as you torque the housing caps down.
- Inspect the Main Body Casing: Take a close look over the alloy valve tracks for deep scoring, corrosion pits, or white scaling. A cracked or heavily oxidized housing cannot be saved by a new rubber ring alone.
- Perform a Safe Leak Test: Once you bolt the unit back onto the tank, fill the cell partially with petrol on the bench. Verify there are zero weeping spots or active wet marks *before* you hook up your main fairing trim or crank the motor over.
