Description
Safe riding starts with fresh braking components. Worn rear brake shoes compromise your stopping space, which is a major hazard for everyday urban commuting or open highway touring on the GV250 Aquila. This premium aftermarket set offers a highly reliable, safety-tested solution that meets original build requirements perfectly. By keeping your rear wheel braking responsive, you preserve your motorcycle’s road stability across a wide span of production generations.

📜 Model Fitment Guide
Confirmed Rear Hub Matches: Fits traditional drum brake wheel setups across these specific years:
- Hyosung GV250 Aquila: Fits all traditional air/oil-cooled variants running carburettors or electronic fuel injection built between 2004 and 2017.
❌ WILL NOT FIT THESE MOTORCYCLES:
- GV125 / GV125C Models: The 125cc cruiser generation uses a completely separate, smaller rear brake hub assembly.
- Modern S-Platform Bobbers: Does not fit the GV125S EFI or GV300S models, which run on entirely fresh frame platforms.
- Rear Disc Models: Will not match variant runs built with modern rear disc caliper brake lines (such as the GV250DR).
Conducting a full brake check is smart workshop practice. We highly advise inspecting your front brake disc pads alongside this rear service. Keeping both ends operating at peak efficiency ensures completely level, balanced control on slippery roads.
🔧 Install Tips
- Take a Reference Photo: Use your phone to snap a quick, clear photo of the old layout and spring anchors inside the wheel assembly before removing any parts. This acts as a reliable guide when hook-linking your new tension springs into position.
- Clean the Brake Drum: Spray the inside of the metal steel drum housing thoroughly with high-quality brake cleaner to wash away trapped friction dust, road salt, and dirt crusts before mounting the fresh hardware.
- Lubricate Moving Pivots: Spread a very tiny, cautious smear of high-temperature copper grease directly onto the operating cam lobes and fixed pivot pin points. This ensures smooth movement when you press the foot lever. Keep grease completely away from the friction shoe linings!
