Thanks marcel.
yer, the winter is scary 😛
as i have mentioned some time ago, i wrote my GT250 through the winter with very light snow fall, but never while there was a layer of snow.oh right, the plastics… the one i have found seems to have non damaged plastics. Maybe i should try and sell those and buy some cheap knock off Suzuki plastic i can Frankenstein onto it.
but i will properly shoot the guy a message and see if i can get the price down a bit 🙂

Here is my 2016 GT250N My first bike, and the bike i have been riding through the cold Scandinavian winter with.My wonderful GT250 has gone to a new home, another first time rider is now enjoying a wonderful and beautiful bike.
I sold it because I got a great deal on a perfect condition SV650 from 2006.
so little update, it was perfect since i fixed it, and yesterday it started making excessive chain noise. like normal chain noise but louder (loud enough that i can hear it in my helmet next to lories) and only occurs every 5-10 teeth. i can mostly hear it while driving slowly, i was afraid that it was falling off agian, but the sprocket seems to be tight and the washer is still bent around the nut. any ideas?
MARCEL! you wonderful beautiful man! I just drove it home thanks to you. It was the nut tht fell off. I hadn’t bent the washer enough.

i will check the nut today. but my chain moves when i rolle the bike, so i it might be the shaft.
in case it is the shaft, how hard is it to replace?Welcome!
your bike looks crisp! love the colour and the shine.remember to get some good gear and ride safe >

I got this amazing and lucky shot on the taxiway at an abandond airstrip/airodome. i am definetly going back there later this year with an actual camera to recreate the shot.Mar 6, 2023 at 9:26 AM in reply to: Hyosung Owners Picture Gallery: Show Off Your Bike Photos & Mods 📸 #9866
Here is my 2016 GT250N
My first bike, and the bike i have been riding through the cold Scandinavian winter with.i know the feeling XD bought my bike SUPER cheap and expected a shitbox that barely runs, but i got a pretty and sturdy bike…. the darn thing growing on me rapidly.
just need to sort out the few minor issues i have, and im properly not gonna switch it out for something better until i have to or buy new.the parts scarcity is the only major issue with the brand unfortunately.
hope you get it running perfectly.hyoparts.com
hyosungcatalog.com
hyosungwholesale.com
hyosungparts.eu
hyosungpartsau.comAnd properly a few more are all supposedly run by the same Korean guy who seems to not really care.
there are many stories of getting an email about extra charges after you have already paid.
“heavy parcel? 100$ extra” “corona? 100$ extra” and other stuff like that.
others have stated that they got the wrong items and such.
i don’t know how much of it is true, but i personally wouldn’t trust it.i have ordered my parts from this forum, marcel seems to be a nice guy who actually cares about his stuff.
just send him a mail or contact form with what parts you need and he can properly source them or an alternative.
(im not UK based, so i had to get it imported to the EU, but import of MC parts isent that expensive)i will take a pic when i change the breaks (hopefully arriving tomorrow)
but what about replacing the entire master cylinder and leavers in one go. is that feasible or fantasy?its never fun to take impromptu flying lessons…
glad you made it out mostly unscathed <3if its the one in your pic, it does look fucking amazing. i love me some naked and scramblers… but yours is one of the very few skirted that make me a bit thirsty XD
i agree with the looks. Hyosung make/made incredibly pretty bikes. my gt250 is a head turner even with experienced riders.
the gt650 does look a bit better then the 250. (i think its the dual frame tubes on the side i love) and the sv650 is not even close imho. its a very simular bike but there is just something special about the Hyosungs.i have been wanting to get the acceleration of a bit bigger bike. but maby when i get and install the chain kit and clutch i ordered from you i will have the extra bit i feel lime im lacking.
the only real issue i have had has been the parts availability, you do amazing stuff with the kits and such. but i dont have any legit EU sellers so i have to deal with the import and tax fees. plus its hard to know what after-market parts fit on the Hyosungs… i have been wanting new leavers and such, but its hard to know if they are compatible.
Feb 22, 2023 at 6:49 AM in reply to: Front breakpad fell off, what parts do i need to fix this? #9719i got the bike at 6k km. and was told they where changed shortly before i bought the bike (~4 months ago) but i dont have any proof of this. and i checked the folder with every repair and service from the previous (first) owner and cant find a thing. so either he did it himself OR they are the original pads….
i will from now on change the pads as the FIRST thing i do on any future bike i buy.
the bike seems to like me, but willing to play tricks. 😛
i just had a look on the used market after you said that…. sv650 is about the same price. only real difference i see is the age. (sv 2008, gt 2016 og equivelent age gap)
i might have to keep an eye on those
you wouldn’t recommend switching to a 650? im curious as to why 🙂
Feb 21, 2023 at 2:07 PM in reply to: Front breakpad fell off, what parts do i need to fix this? #9700ikr! cant even imagine loosing brakes while driving…
