i find myself back here again…
i moved on from my GT250 to an SV650. i love my SV650 to death, but it is too pretty to be stupid on.
so i scrolled facebook marketplace as you do and stumbled on a 2008 RX125D in good condition, cheap price, 9k km. thought it might be worth it as a cheap thrashing/winter bike.
anyone have experience with these? are they reliable? are they as light and nimble as they seem? and would they survive winter/snow abuse?@marcel, your the hyoguru. what are your thoughts on them? (and do you have parts? :p )

I’d say go for it, it is meant to also be used off-road , so the enviroment is already harsh , im sure Hyosung built the bike for that purpose. It is a little slower than a GT250 , so don’t expect wheelies or racing with it. It will be a nice winter bike. Maintenance is easier as there is far less parts than a GT bike.
Find the best off-road tyres you can get with lots of silica compound, it “might” handle snow but i would avoid snow on motorcycles if i can help it!
Parts = Sure, clutch plates, chain kit , oil filters and the usual service parts can be acquired but not sure on fairings as the plastics are rare, so look after the plastic panels lol.

Thanks marcel.
yer, the winter is scary 😛
as i have mentioned some time ago, i wrote my GT250 through the winter with very light snow fall, but never while there was a layer of snow.oh right, the plastics… the one i have found seems to have non damaged plastics. Maybe i should try and sell those and buy some cheap knock off Suzuki plastic i can Frankenstein onto it.
but i will properly shoot the guy a message and see if i can get the price down a bit 🙂
