Description
If you are riding a 2008–2014 fuel injection model, the original factory Daewoo or Sentec electrical setups can be notoriously fragile. A failing regulator will overheat and burn down your stator winding tracks—or worse, allow sudden power spikes to travel up the line and ruin the engine control computer. Because these specific ECUs are no longer manufactured, a component breakout means total failure. This upgrade bundle serves as the definitive charging solution to preserve your wiring loom and stop random mid-ride cutouts.
Most recurring charging faults we diagnose are caused by loose unbranded budget replacement parts, or by forcing a fresh stator to run into an old, degraded regulator block. This custom modification kit removes the risk by replacing both ends of the electrical circuit at once.
⚠️ Important Fitment Check: Daewoo / Sentec Only
This conversion bundle is built purely for early fuel-injected configurations running the factory Daewoo or Sentec ECU setup. Check your main computer labels or plug blocks under the frame rails to verify compatibility before checking out:
| Early Fuel Injection Plugs |
Fresh Paper Gasket Included Ensures a tight oil seal on the crankcase face. |
Model Fitment:
- GT250 / GT250R / GV250 EFi (2008–2014): Fits versions running the early factory 3-pin + 2-pin small block connector clips.
Incompatible Models: Will NOT fit 2016+ model configurations. Later generations transitioned to a completely separate magnetic flywheel setup, alternate engine windings, and oversized Delphi computer connector pins.
📦 What’s Included in the “Matched Pair” Bundle:
- Brand New Aftermarket Stator: High-grade insulated copper windings built to resist long-term thermal breakdown under heavy engine loads. Directly replaces factory parts 32100H88400, 32101H88400, and 32101HR8400. Packaged with stainless steel side-cover hex mounting bolts.
- Genuine Shingden MOSFET Regulator: Upcycled, bench-tested premium Japanese Shingden hardware. MOSFET internal modules process charging currents without generating excessive heat, running significantly cooler than stock shunt plates. Completed with a custom sub-harness layout for a clean plug-and-play fitment.
- Fresh Cover Gasket: High-grade replacement paper gasket to seal up your alternator casing cleanly, removing the need to scrape liquid silicone paste off the alloy engine blocks at your next oil check.
🛠️ Installation & Battery Health Advice (Avoid ECU Burn)
While this kit works as a swap-and-go mod, stabilizing an early fuel injection loop requires testing your companion lines:
- 🔋Battery Health is Critical: A weak battery with high internal resistance can ruin new copper coils very quickly by pulling constant high current. Have your cells properly load-tested at a local garage workshop; basic resting volt checks on a pocket meter are not enough to confirm plate cell health under engine cranking loads.
- Replace Interlinked Parts Together: If your previous regulator has been slightly faulty or passing high current, it will have baked the stator generator insulation. Replacing them together as a matched system locks out diagnostic guesswork.
- 🔥⚠️❌ Keep Multi-Purpose Oils Off Connectors: Do not spray penetrating fluids or thin lubricating oils directly inside live high-voltage loom plugs. Seal out green oxide moisture damage by using proper dielectric grease or anti-corrosion barrier protection fluids instead.
- 📸 GV250 Cruiser Owners: Frame clearance around the regulator mount area can be tight on classic cruiser setups. Look at the product photos to check out custom mounting placement photos from fellow builders!
