Ok, thanks Simon, I’ve noticed the difference in price between the callipers for the gv650 ones for other bikes are cheaper even though they are the same callipers

I’m trying to decide whether to buy new callipers or just new pistons and seals, l can get new callipers for Β£62 each

I found a uk comp that can make new pistons for me but not give me a price for 4 yet until they receive one of my old ones, if too expensive the l think l will go down the root of new callipers

Managed to split fork again, there is connecting rod that comes from the adjuster, it had slipped out, back in again and now able to get the hard and soft settings again but noticed difference in height if fork oil between left and right fork even though put same amount of oil in each fork, the left fork oil hileight seemed higher than the right πŸ₯΄

I’ve run into another problem with the right fork, the rebound damper adjuster ain’t working, it justΒ  rotates all the way round butΒ  the left side works ok

Can they be repaired or is it a new right fork ???

Well l now have the seals in and the retaining clip, lm assuming it’s all good and that collar is just a cover for the seals, l will soon find out when the forks go back on tomorrow night

Cheers, l found the same diagram as you, it’s back in and all gears working a as they should, fortunately

It was nearly an expensive mistake

I have another problem though, when l try to start bike in mornings all l get is a clunk, but eventually turns over and starts

Thought it was starter relay so replaced that and still same, now thinking it’s starter motor but once it’s running it starts every time

Also replaced battery, any ideas as to whether it’s the starter motor or something else???

    Alan
