Hi All,
I just purchased my first motorbike – GV125S bobber, 2022 production year. Unfortunately I found out that 5th gear is missing. All other gears are working well, not slippage. 5th is not clicking in neither during the ride, nor when the bike is parked. It has 5k miles on the clock.
So far I changed the oil and filter. Took a look into clutch cable adjustment.
Any help, where to look for, would be much appreciated
Thanks
Tomasz

quick update: I re-adjusted again the clutch cable ensuring that there is 4mm slack
went for the ride, 5th gear goes in without any problem… BUT on the display it doesn’t show. It stays on 4th. Only few times the dash showed 5th and few times 6th for few seconds (although the gearbox has 5 gears only)
Is there any sensor which translates gears to the dash?

Take a look under the tank (becareful as the fuel pump “port” is very fragile when disconnecting it) , then take the tank off. Look for connectors coming from the sprocket area and clean them then contact cleaner (wait to dry) then try again ?
Glad to hear the actual gearbox is still working!
