thanks. Will keep looking locally.
Hi Nick,
Which part of Australia are you from? I have a same model GC 650 (2013) and am looking for a good repair shop in Perth.
I have tried to find, but most of the shops refuse to fix any issues.
I have been doing minor repairs myself and servicing .
Thanks. Terrey GillApr 20, 2026 at 3:16 AM in reply to: Hyosung GV650 2013 Model struggles after exactly 20 minutes of riding every day #22353Hi Marcel,
The Air Filter was clogged, and it looked like it wasn’t changed since the bike was bought.
I replaced the Air Filter and bike is running fine since then. The engine sound has also changed, and engine doesn’t get bogged down at low speed. The bike does not have an external fuel filter. I am planning to install one, on the fuel line.
Thanks,
TerreyHi Sven,
I bought a same model which had done just 3.6K. It is running fine, since last 3 years. I have done more than 15K in last 2 years. I had to get the new spark plug and a new rectifier, as the older one was cooked.
The bike handles well, especially on freeways and long-distance rides. It is not tiring at all. The bumps are minimal. It is a little sluggish in the city conditions at low speed. I have the same exhaust, as yours. But sometimes have a little heat buildup on a hot day at slow speeds.Feb 5, 2026 at 7:43 AM in reply to: Hyosung GV650 2013 Model struggles after exactly 20 minutes of riding every day #21894Hi Marcel,
I really appreciate your help. I tried the Fuel System liquid as per your suggestion in the tank and looks like 95% of the issue is gone. It doesn’t have any problem when I am riding in the morning when it is a bit cooler, but in the afternoon, I still feel there is a slight issue, but certainly a lot better than before.
I used the full bottle of Fuel System liquid in the tank and will do it again if required. I haven’t checked the thermostat yet but checked the fan which does work. I can feel the heat on my legs in the afternoon from the engine, but the bike temperature doesn’t seem to go more than 3-4 bars which is normal. I will check if the thermostat is the problem and let you know if it is defective. Thanks again.

Looks like I need to go into diagnostics mode. In Australia we do not have any dealers for Hyosung and most mechanics do not touch these bikes. Can you please confirm where would be the thermostat on this bike, with a picture?
Thanks again.
