Hi Marcel
All the after Stock parts fit both gv300s and gv125s, apparently the same just a different engine.
I like the look of the gv300s airfilter box that’s why I asked. Looking at pictures of both they look to have very similar fittings.
You mentioned there’s a newer design? Does it fit the gv125 s? Any pics?

Hi Marcel
Both Cylinders sound the same, no chain rattling or any other sounds out of the ordinary.
What I did was I measured the clearence again, this time I turned the engine a couple of times and measured again and again, Intakes were too big.
So I changed the shims, again ;), now she sounds right, ticking when cold and hardly audible when warm, so I am going to leave her as she is
Thanks
Barry
Hi Marcel
Sorry for the late reply, i finally got round to making a video
After i did an oil change,Β with filter, i noticed the front manifold gasket was not ok, so i had an air leak, new gasket installed
It definitely sounds like the valves, not so much the front cylinder, the rear cylinder is definitely too loud, annoying when riding as i am sitting right on top of it.
Have a listen and let me know what you think
I used the selfie camera so the mic is right on the cylinders,Β that’s why the video is mirrored,Β and she at Temperature, warm
Thanks mate

Hi Marcel
Thanks for the tips…
When i pull the clutch the ticking is still there no changes, I rechecked the clearance using new gauges and found the intake to be too big, 0.10 to 0.11.
I ordered new Shims as I only had 0.05s, got some inbetweens, 0.025s
I now have 0.07 intake and Exhaust a tight 0.10, when shes cold I hear a faint ticking, which is normal, and warm only Audible at higher Revs.
Not as loud as before, I popped round to my local Dealer/Garage and he said sounds normal, so I guess its sorted.
I still find it funny that they are audible/louder when warm, normally the ticking should go away?
Thanks
Barry
