I’m having fuel delivery problems with the fuel not being able to properly exit the fuel tank from the petcock. I swapped out both petcock and vacuum fuel pump (2008 carbed gt250r) and I’m still have the same issue. Then I notice the tank is building pressure when I open the cap I can hear a hiss of air. So I take the cap off and proceed to do the “vent gasket fix” and notice the round gasket that seals the cap is torn. Tried to look for this part but it seems they only sell the entire gas cap. Tried to find the gas cap and it seems they only sell it as a kit with the keys, ignition, and trunk lock. I’ve also looked into aftermarket gas cap but they don’t have the venting feature built in. Am I just going to have to buy that entire kit or is there another option?
what year and model did you use, I cannot seem to find one on Amazon.
