Ok I’m not gonna touch the carb until I get the JIS set for it.the T40 I ordered finally came through though, but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to get that exhaust off until Monday, due to work etc.

The exhaust has been bugging me from day one, I just want it off.nothing salvageable, just pure rust.I’ll get some photos up of it when I take it off and you can see what I mean.

Waiting is literally the worst part haha

But I will look up the videos on the carb and get a bit of knowledge on that

Also, is there anything that’s missing from the carb in the pictures? If you need more specific pics, I can upload those if need be.

Thank you for the little lesson on set up and names

I would change the title, but it’s only giving me the option to reply? But it’s funny you say that, I said to my son I should call it phoenix, because it’s literally rising from the ashes haha.a bit of an update though, I’ve managed to remove the carb, but lost 3 out 4 screws on what I can only call some sort of housing rail? It’s where the clutch cable goes in, but I’ll attach a pic to show what I mean.i haven’t taken it apart yet, but I imagine I’m going to lose a few more, so ill be needing a set of those come the end of the month.ill sit down and play with this tonight and clean it up, but one thing that I did want to ask is; when I turn the part on the side, only one valve turnt.since removing the clutch, both turn.but my question is; is normal for one of these rubber cylinders to be further out than the other? Again I’ll attach pics to show what I mean.one comes out half way in the valve, and the other sticks out like 90%.one thing that is filling me with dread, is that even I can recognise that red pin is an after market one surely.that makes me sad when I think of having to remove it.2 faring ones snapped off on me and I had to hammer the snapped part out with a screwdriver, no damage caused with that luckily

Let me know how, and I’ll change the title and edit the whole post
