    Starting issues
    Fuel and spark are good.
It starts 8 times out of 10 but generally strands me when I am away from home. It will start to turn over and then come to a crashing stop in the first second or so of kranking it. It almost sounds like it’s hitting something as it’s trying to turn over. It will do the same thing 20 or 30 times and then all of a sudden magically start. It will start if you push start it.
I just put in a new battery which is fully charged. I changed the starter motor a year ago with an oem model from Korea. I also put in a new starter solenoid at the same time.
I checked the starter switch by by passing it and had the same problem. The only other observation is that when it’s having this problem the wires to and from the solenoid get very hot.
I also checked the starter clutch and it is solid in one direction and spins freely in the other direction.
Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you!

    Hi all
Still having starter issues. Is there a way to adjust the timing on the GV65O 2007 and would that help the starting problem?
    Thanks

So the starter guy couldn’t rebuild it. He can get me a brand new starter for a hyosung V2C 650S . It looks the same but he’s not sure if that is the same part as the one I need for my GV65O Aquila.
Do you know if it is the same?
    Thanks again.

Actually I took the starter in to a specialist and he opened it up and said the inside was fried. He is looking for parts to rebuild it.

    Thank you for the reply.
When I press the starter button the engine starts to turn over and then stops with a clank noise.
I changed the starter and battery. Still happens but it’s intermittent.
