Agree with 10W-40(or 50), but just as important; change it at least once a year, remember also the filter. BTW… does the GV250 have the larger oil-cooler (similar to the GT’s?)
Yes we recommend it to use on all 125cc. Their coolers are too small. So 250 coolers are good. GT250/GV250 use the same big coolers.
