Reply To: Carby 05 GT250R Regulator & Stator alternatives
I can’t find any specs regarding reg/recs for Old carby 250r models in any of the manuals listed in the forums, (from here specifically: https://hyoriders.club/forums/topic-tag/service-manuals/)
So at the moment I’m trying to find out 2 things:
1) How to tell what spec or the oem reg/rec is for my model as I believe it varies from CC to carby vs efi, so I can wrap my head around what I’m working with and work from ground zero I guess?
2) Compatible reg/recs for my model, like for instance if I could salvage a 08 kawasaki 250r reg/rec and replace it with mine (if thats even possible) since from what I’ve heard a jap made reg/rec would be better than the oem hyosungs have.
If you don’t mind answering what do you mean by Poland or JMP regs? are they brands with reg/recs that are compatible with hyosung bikes? or are you suggesting reputable ones?
Correct me if I’m wrong but from my small understandings on reg/recs if they’re within the same CC range, same carby model and have the same pin/plugs, they are more or less interchangeable? And then by the off chance the pins aren’t you could(maybe not advisable but could) change the wiring to suit?
