Forums 🚥 PiT STOP 🔧 Hyosung Technical Help Bobber 125-300… Reply To: Bobber 125-300…
Hey , welcome.
Bobber 300cc changes vs 125cc
- Different Engine (everything inside is bigger), cannot use any 125cc parts
- Slightly larger water cooler (300cc is hotter)
- Tacho is locked (gauge) = Cannot possible use 125 electronics in 300cc
- Injectors different (more fuel flow)
- Different ECU (125cc ECU is locked for 125cc mapping only and wants 125cc)
- Electronics & Sensors are changed for 300cc (such as lambda, 02, ET, ISCV, etc)
In essense it is a different animal with similar or same looks as Bobber 125 / EVO 125 , it looks like the 300cc uses same chassis as 125cc (maybe stronger steel due to extra torque) , GV300SS has big forks , different brake calipers (bigger)
That is why some parts i sell on this site say “125cc” only as it is not possible to fit them on GV300S
Can i ask ? I am curious. Why does she need to change from 125cc to 300cc ? 125cc is not a bad bike, i have multiple Hyosungs and the baby 125 in my garage is fun and cheap to ride , also it is best for me to use 125cc in winter as cheaper maintenance lol. Big girls only get used on sunny dry days if it is cold , call me a fair weather man 😉
