I didn’t take out the idler gear because it’s behind the flywheel and I don’t have the tool to even take out the big old basket that’s right there, but it didn’t look bent. It didn’t even look scored didn’t look shipped. It was like the gear was brand new like it came out of the factory perfectly machined. Everything was super clean and shiny in there again the motor only has 1,500 miles in it, but you pointed out something that immediately caught my attention is the new oil that I put in the bike recently that hasn’t even been there for a month and it came out black like solid black. I wasn’t checking for the smell of fuel, but regardlessI didn’t smell a strong scent of fuel. that just further solidifies the semi Hydro lock theory even more unfortunately I need to wait until I have a free day from work to test out, but I really appreciate your help and advice.Thank you!
