Update for anyone looking through this thread –
After chatting with the guys over email, it’s become clear that my 22 plate is actually an 18 model that has been sat in a showroom for a few years, and has then been registered for use later on. This means that my swing arm is shorter than later models, and thus needs a link removing to compensate for that difference in length. This is an issue born at the Hyosung factory.
I would implore anyone wanting to upgrade to go ahead as it makes a major difference, and the help from the guys at hyoriders will keep you on the road regardless of any arising issues.
