Post a picture of the CDI unit (it must be a GV stamped unit)
(The backside of it so i can see the sockets)
Post a picture of the plugs meant to go to the CDI unit from the GV harness itself.
(Try to space them apart so i can see all the wiring colours)
I can try to guide you from what i can see
