Spreadsheet attached for Wiring tables to help make it easier to refer to, rather than constantly tracing on a diagram.
Includes details on the wire colours, where they lead to and which ECU Pins. Theses are based upon the 3 different EFI manuals and based upon the R models. There are subtle difference from the naked to R, such as the use of additional looms for the lights, but the colours remain the same.
There are differences between the 3 ECU versions, with the latest 2012 being the most different.
WARNINGS:
- Always double check the manuals before making any changes.
- Never cut wires until tested, you can remove pins from connectors using a pin or very small screwdriver and then create temporary connections.
- Remove Battery and ECU before working.
- Test WITHOUT ECU where possible.
- Some colours, e.g. Green with Red Tracer, are used on multiple circuits and should not be bridged (joined), this will result in ECU damage. Only bridge if shown on the original charts.
- Some Looms to not follow the drawing exactly (mine did not for the dash connector), you can usually work out any nuances by working on basics such as lights first.
- Use at your own risk.
If you can remove the loom, pin to a board and mark out the connectors and replicate on the attached Tables and Manual Diagrams. It makes it easier to follow.

The part in regards to pinouts for the dashboard connector will come handy for one of the members on the forum from AU,
Another guy from EU, did a pinout for the 125cc CDI , so i’ll find that post and “sticky” it up on the DIY section.
Ride safe sir!

Hello,
I’ve recently bought a GT650R and I need a new wiring harness. I’ve spoken to Marcel about it and he said that I have a discontinued ECU. It has a mitsubishi logo on it. If anyone can help me make or find a harness, that would be amazing!

keep an eye on eBay for one, but other than that it would be easiest to repair.
Get yourself an 8×4 foot sheet of ply, mdf or similar. You can then pin the current loom to it, mark all the connectors and then do a continuity test for each wire. -

How will I know which loom to get from eBay?

when I bought mine, I checked the ECU plugs to make sure they were the correct type, but even then I still had issues as there was slight differences, such as the connector for the dash/lights was wired slightly different (different order in the connector block)

Follow chris’s other thread here, see how he laid out his harness
If i see the harness , i will tell you about it but in the mean time Chris is correct to suggest repairing it will be easier route / quickest but don’t rush anything you have one good shot not to fry that ECU. Everyone is after it and drives its scarcity up even more.
Hyosung moved on to Delphi electronics since 2013-2015 (US/Singapore) , if you repair your harness well , stay on that Japanese mitsubishi ECU instead.
