      Hello fellow riders,

I’ve been browsing this forum for some weeks now, and i have to say that i enjoy reading all the topics here 🙂
This year i turned 46 an according to my wife i’m in my midlife crisis, cause i bought my first motorcycle last year in October an i got rid of my car. So i’ve used my motorcycle, a 125GV to go to work and other places (even in the winter through snowy weather ;-)).
A couple of weeks ago i upgraded my bike with the  520 upgrade kit from this site. Marcel was a great help for me, as this was my first ‘big’ job on the bike. I have to say it again: this upgrade transformed my bike in so many ways, i enjoy riding it much more now.
After doing a speed test last week, i went cruising in my area. Some pictures here:

Welcome my fellow man ,  i am happy to see the bike has left its nest and it is far away in to the sceneries , i like the pictures , makes me a little jealous haha. it has been raining like hell over here lately.

When i see the sun, I will catch up!

Hey , you are more than welcome to share anything you do to the bike, it will help a lot of GV owners as we are slowly getting more EFi 125 members to the forums now.

      Ride safe!

I’m so happy that it finally stopped raining here, first summer since long that it rained for 2 weeks or so. Bright skies are ahead of us here, i hope your side will follow 😉

Sharing things i do to the bike…

Last weeks i’ve purged the breaks and replaced brake liquid to be sure. Rear brake stopped working so i started with that one. I noticed some filth in the fluid so i decided to do the front one as well.

Then I decided to grease the levers etc as mentioned in the service manual.
In a month or two i will replace oil and filter.

No more visits to my dealer, i decided to do service myself.

Maybe something other riders should be aware of: Some weeks ago on a very hot day i noticed a weird sound when i was riding. I stopped my ride and checked out what it could be. It was my license plate. The plate was folded in half and scraping on my rear wheel!!! I went to my dealer and he told me it was the second bike he had seen with this problem. For him it was plastic that became weak because of the hot weather. After he fixed this, i repainted some of the letters with nail polish.

Besides the services i installed a small windscreen, a phone holder and some bags at the tail.

I have ordered some bar risers, should arrive this week.

And finally yesterday i experimented with the seat. It was allright but could be more comfortable, mainly the passenger seat. I had some padding lying around, so i decided to upgrade the seat with it. Then i took a piece of a fabric and pulled it over the padding and the seat and stapled it. I also had an old raincoat, cut a piece of and laid it over the fabric. As a the finishing touch i found a chair cover for the top layer. I don’t now yet if i will leave it on, i can always pull it back of again, we’ll see…
I must say that the seat is very comfortable now, but i need a bar raiser.

So, is this summary what you want, or would you like me to open a new thread and make a small tutorial when i do a service? …

      Kind regards,
      Koen.

I loved the summary  , i am sure certain lurkers will appreciate the new information to digest.  You never know, you might just save another rider from Belgium facing hell later.

If you did things like , servicing , you can always make “How To Guides”  , like this other  GV-S member did below

[Tutorial] Hyosung GV300 (Valve clearance check & correction Guide)

Big jobs or tiny jobs , it does not matter too much , as long you helped save someone from expensive garage costs.    I know one rider was charged £100 to change a front sprocket!   – It was a 14T to 15T  428  , and yet bike is slower because 15T on 428 was too big gears for bike to accelerate on hills.  I said  12T , 13T, or 14T on 520 is better.

I will get him to join forum soon so he shares his experiences with the GV-S models

Watch out, a new model of GV-125 is coming again to EU maybe  2024/2025 called GV-125 S “EVO”  ,    do not worry to much, it just a face lift , it will have same engine as 2018-2023 models.

But i hope they do not change swingarms or other parts of the frame like wheels lol , i would not be surprised, but we might see USD forks!

I will not lie , i have seen it a long time ago , they are just copying GV300S , to make a “version 1 vs version 2” so people decide which dress they want for their bike lol.

I like both variants to be honest!
