Hey everyone,
I ordered the 520 chain and sprocket upgrade and need to buy some tools. Apart from a general toolbox I want to buy a torque wrench. What kind do I need. Is a small one up to 25nm torque enough or do I need more than that?
I found one here locally for 1-25nm torque but it’s mostly marketed towards cyclists, so I doubt that’s enough for some of the stuff I’d have to do on my motorcycle?
Sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question but I’m very new to mechanical stuff like this 😳 😕
thanks!

Hallo o/
Stay away from those small cyclist ones, if you have amazon try grab it off that anything low to mid range would do.
The wheel alone needs to be 115nm iirc, I have an ebike here that calls for 50nm on something I can’t do up under torque and that is SERIOUSLY tight so 115 is being absolutely locked in.
Try find one with a 1/2″ drive they tend to offer more torque usually well within to 200nm and up, 1/4th tend to be way lower (usually bicycle ones).
A friend would say it wouldn’t need to be under torque but it definitely does and needs to be as accurate as possible – Try your absolute best to never drop it or plonk it down on a hard surface.

Use a good torque wrench that can go up to 100 ft lbs
= Rear Wheel Axle bolt (usually 60 FT LBS]
= Front Sprocket Nut [About 50 ft lbs]
= Sprocket Rear Bolts = M8 threaded bolts depending what Hyosung uses (sometimes they use Torx bolts or tradtional bolt an nut) , aim for about 15 ft lbs (a smaller torque wench is better for this)
= Sprocket Cover Small bolts = 6 ft lbsI use FT_LBS as its easier for me to understand than NM , but any numbers can use Google to translate this, eg. 50ft.lbs is 67N.M
Some torque wenches only read N.M , if you can’t find one that reads FT LBS, get the N.M one that reads up to 120mn , or else 90nm (because we need 80nm torque the wheel axle)
See here for EFi 125 tutorial written by someone else (if you didn’t see it)

Apologies I think I was on about something else in terms of torque, I think Ft LBS is a British thing I think in Europe they exclusively only use metric.
The MASKO one on amazon would do, if you had the extra go for the Famex or Vanpo one….If you’re feeling flush and like a nice tools get the Wera 40 – 200 (bit overkill, looks gorgeous though).
