I just bought the bike as inoperative after 3 years sitting outside. I have fixed Mickey Mouse’s work on the wiring harness and just got it to fire up. I then found there is a side pipe off the main exhaust that runs forward via a rubber hose to a Bakelite style cylindrical unit then on through another rubber hose to what appears to be a small metal cherry bomb style metal section running further forward. Is this some sort of footboard warming system. I don’t see anything on the Hyosung catalogue listings. The first rubber joiner is rotted out so exhaust is leaking. Does anyone know if I can replace it with a regular piece of rubber hose? Thanks

I have been looking for the “add media” tab but can’t find it.

I took off the front panel running up behind the steering column and what looked like a muffler is one. It runs up under the right side of the frame then has a small curved exit pile to dump that exhaust in the front belly pan area where it would disburse under the bike between the floorboards and the belly plastic. “FOOT WARMER” Who knows.

Should be there. Like this one on the screenshot below?

Me again, I don’t have that media tab showing on my tablet or on my desktop computer. is it possible to send a private message and possibly put the pictures to you that way? I see you are an administrator so if you have access to my email address you could send me a separate email and I can respond to you that way.
Also, being in Canada I don’t think there are any dealers near me. I need the two plastic parts that make up the shroud around the cooling fan. Is it possible to order direct from Hyosung? I have a link to their catalogue and it lists those parts but nothing to do with the exhaust section I have. Seeing as mine is a 2007, maybe they no longer list for it.

I logged in as a normal users (non-admin, i was able to see the button) , I will test further in the weak to make sure there isn’t some bug.
I saw the pictures , I can respond here just to make it easier to stay on topic. The email will change in the near future that’s why.
Does the exhaust rattle or feel loose at all ? What would happen if someone was to cut the middle of the exhaust off and just put a straight pipe that goes to the giant muffler at the back, least there is less pipe work to deal with
I don’t know about your state laws , but it is possible the engine has an extra pipe from the air intake box going to the engine or the exhaust as part of “emissions control” or fake emissions if you will. (just extra air being sucked from the airbox and recycled out of the exhaust so it appears the exhaust is burning cleaner “so to speak”)

Guess what! The add media button is where it should be today. Maybe the system has a delay on some features for newbies.
This morning I bought some heater hose and put it in place of the piece of garden hose that had failed.
I fired up the engine and things were quieter and the blue smoke settled down after several minutes. As it had not run in 3 years, I had sprayed some penetrating oil into the cylinder just in case.
The plastic cooling fan shroud is badly broken and won’t direct the fan air to cool the cylinder. I have bookmarked the Hyosung catalogue site. Is that where I would go to order parts? If so, what is the delivery time normally?
Thanks

By the time I finished typing the previous message, the add media tab was gone and it isn’t in place for this message either.
If the hose piece fails again due to heat from the exhaust, I will try blocking the pipe and see if it causes any problems. I’m still leaning towards the floorboard heat to get rid of moisture or frost.

I will investigate it , sorry for the hassle!
Remove exhaust , and try some kind of “car aluminium heatshield foil ” and stick it on the bike itself , so that any heat from exhaust gets deflected away from it ?
